Labeling with Microsoft Word
This is a tutorial on how to create labels with Microsoft Word 2000, 2001, 2002.
Preparing the Template
- Open Microsoft Word.
- Click on the menu: Tools-> Letters and Mailings -> Envelopes and Labels
- Select the "Label" Tab, click Options.
- Select the label brand and the product number and click OK.
- For address label, enter the address in the space provided. If not, skip to the next step.
- To place the template into the document, click "New Document"
Note: For Begalabel.com labels, please use our Avery Cross Reference Chart.
Label Design and Layout
- If you do not see borders, turn on borders by clicking menu: Tables->Show Gridlines
- Proceed to type in text into the first box provided (on the top left).
- To insert image, click on menu: Insert->Picture->Clip Art or From File depending on where your image is.
- If you are creating the same labe, select all in the first label, COPY, and PASTE into other squres.
Note: Be sure to save your file every step of the way so that you can go back if necessary.
Now your labels are complete and ready to print!
